成功大学可谓是台南市占地最广的一座座高学府，也是许多台南人的骄傲，校区里头的榕园不但是许多新人婚纱必拍的景点，也是许多广告取景的地方，更是许多台南人约会踏青的美好回忆，而成大周边的小吃更是不胜枚举，所以来台南，成大与其周边是个不错的选择喔..............

National Cheng Kung University(NCKU) is a national university in Taiwan, ranking just right next to National Taiwan University(NTU). NCKU had manycampus areas and science research centers. It opened in 1931, just 3 years behind NTU, NCKU is really one of the school at south that actually can compete with NTU.he most famous attraction of NCKU must be Banyan Garden and Cheng Kung Lake. Banyan Garden was once the Japanese infantry training ground. With the large green lawn, people come for picnic during weekends, was pretty popular among the locals. In the Garden, there was a century old grown lush Banyan like mushroom. Some saying it was planned by the Japanese imperial emperor Hirohito in 1923. And the tree was a naive species of Kagoshima. The strong tree trunk was like supporting NCKU’s spirit all along the years. Right in front of the garden is Cheng Kung Lake. It’s more like a pond than lake since the size of it. You can walk over the bridge to get onto the little island in the lake. And surprising we saw our dear duck friends (we both are birds somehow?). But they were staring at us because they were finding food. The lake is also one of the hot spot but compared to Banyan Garden, it’s less attractive.Going further a bit you would find Xiao Ximen, which was built in 1791as gate for Tainan city. The forts was built in similar years. All these were moved to NCKU because for urban development.With a funny fact, they actually flipped the gate which the named “Xiao Ximen” should be facing outside. Cheng Kung University, my alma mater, is located just next to the train station. This is a place where students study, eat, and fall in (and out of, of course) love. Unlike any other college campuses around Taiwan, Cheng Kung University naturally blends itself into the surroundings. There is no clean-cut line that separates campus property from the main roads. The scenery, from the century-old banyan to historic buildings, will make you feel like home. A home where you can chillax and let yourself go for a while. Don't miss it, and TAKE LOTS OF PICTURES!

After graduating from NCKU over 50 years ago. The campus is no longer recognizable. The student body has grown from 3500+ to 25,000+ including the medical school and hospital. Very impressive. I had a tour of the university and was in a conference hall for a workshop. The facilities appears to be better equipped than what we have in the US.

It is one of the best university in Taiwan, located in my home town Tainan, it is a huge university compare to the one I am studying at now, Auckland university. Chen Kong university is in the central of Tainan city, the campus is huge and the faculties are located in different areas. They have some historical buildings and old trees on the campus! If you feel bored, you can take a walk in the campus, you will find that it is not just a campus!
