我在这里和老公住了一晚， 我非常喜欢它的地理环境！它坐落于胡同里，胡同气氛非常浓重，它的设计很有新意，采用的是仿古设计。我在这里住的非常愉快安心，卫生质量非常好，虽然已经营业一年，但墙壁还很干净，床呵枕头都非常舒服。它的服务非常到位，服务态度非常热情！价格有点稍高，但和它的位置服务还是成正比的。我喜欢这里！

All the members of the staff were really friendly and helpful. There were always at least one person in the reception who spoke some English. We stayed as a family of seven and had three different rooms, one with an extra bed. We had a problem with one of the bathrooms, but this was solved quickly when we contacted the receptionist. Xiaoyuan Hotel is located in a small street with a lot of local shops and restaurants. Still, when sitting at the rooftop terrace in the evening there was no noise from the street. The hotel is located close to the forbidden city, the shopping street Wangfujing, and other central sights. There are a couple of metro stations in walking distance from the hotel. Some taxi drivers didn't know the address of the hotel, so in stead we asked them to drive us to the metro station nearest the hotel. There's a great atmosphere in the hotel as well as in the neighborhood. This, as well as the friendly staff, the central location, and the lovely rooftop terrace, made our stay a great experience.

After running out of my usual choices to stay in Beijing I happened to come across this one. It's a newer hotel located a bit outside the older hutong areas but still near the heart of Beijing. From the closest subway stop it's about a ten minute walk. The hotel has both private and shared rooms with me and my colleagues getting the private en suites. Rooms are nicely furnished with TV and A/C-Heater units inside. Bathrooms are newly appointed as well with contemporary sinks and toilet. One possible exception to this cute hotel was the shared bathroom for the dorm rooms, it's a Chinese style toilet in a small room with attached shower. It's not a clean restroom all the time. There is a enclosed courtyard in the back area but most everyone stays in the lobby to watch passersby and hang with the staff (there's also a leak problem in the courtyard from the heavy rains). They have a really nice wood lined bar that we used frequently. They also have a great tea selection with a varied amount of beer and alcohol. The staff was friendly and helpful willing to chat at anytime (but some of the staff don't know English so keep that in mind). I also rented a bicycle for an hour (5 yuan); they have three you can choose from. Breakfast was fantastic with European options and fresh fruit, soup, and steamed buns. There's also a restaurant next door that they use as food service for the hotel, it was decent and quick. Free wifi is in the hotel but the device for the rooms was not working properly. A PC terminal is in the lobby for those that don't have mobile devices. We were surprised and delighted by our random find and hope to stay here again. Once travelers discover this place I believe it may be difficult to get reservations in the future.
