Pagoda was built to preserve the ash of important monks in the white Pagoda in central yard.The entrance gate is beautiful with colored tile.The entrance yard is small with Drum and Bell towers.If you had enough time in Datong to visit this place, take a short visit of the yards and spend more time in the last yards museum of paintings and calligraphy by the famous live monk of the temple.

ガイドブックには載っており、九龍壁と和陽門の間に位置し、どちらからも徒歩数分なので立地は最高です。が、外で１０分ほど様子をみましたが、外から写真だけ撮る中国人観光客は多いものの、４０元を払って中に入る人はゼロでした。私も外からと城壁の上から写真を撮っただけにしました。見どころは白い風変わりな塔のようです。

Very close to the airport, as of today it's still under construction. Maybe a future attraction? Anyway, the area/roads from the airport to the city center has been recently completely renovated.

南城墙也算是在市内了，公交车就可以到，很方便。大同市整体也不是很大。南城墙的原址应该是很有历史的，不过现在城墙都新修了，缺少了很多历史信息。只是简单看了看而已。

这土堆据说是北京最早的城墙：金中都南城墙遗址。

As long as you know ahead of time that it is not actually the ancient wall and was built in recent years, it is interesting to look at, provides some different views of the city and is impressive in size and speed of construction. It sort of feels like a new Great Wall, but flat. It is helpful to understand the history and purpose of the ancient city wall to see the impact this modern city wall has on the city and its history.

This city wall is actually not even the original city wall of Datong, China. Instead, the mayor built this wall so that he could gain fame. Since the wall is so long, the walk can be extremely tedious. Normally, I would be fine with that if the view was good, however, the high walls on both sides blocked out a lot of the city wall. So if you really wanted to see something, you would have to stick your head out one of the open gaps in the wall. If you want to ride a bike, the only place to get it is from the east side (which we didn't know, so we ended up walking way more than we could've), and after you are done with the bike, you have to ride BACK to the east side to return it. There is no other bike rental station. Overall, I found this trip a waste of my time and money. My cousin even tore her ticket afterwards because she hated it so much.

certo non si viene certo a Datong per visitare sito, in quanto simile ad altri di città più importanti (vedi Xi'an). comunque tutto è ben stato restaurato e ben tenuto. una passeggaita al tramonto se il meteo lo regala, è una buona occasione per qualche foto interessante.

Nosso guia, na verdade, não gosta da muralha e dos "novos velhos prédios do centro" - os quais estão lindos, porém vazios. A reconstrução da muralha e do centro, em estilo antigo, foi um grande projeto do governados local, que pretendia atrair o turismo com isso... Porém acabou saindo da cidade deixando muitas obras não terminadas e o novo governados não tem interesse em ocupar essas novas casas em estilo antigo construídas.Um grande dilema local, mas para nós, turistas, ficou bem bonito! Depois das 19h já estará fechado o acesso. Fica bem bonita iluminada à noite.
