If you are looking for a lengthy, yet easy trail, this is the one. Beautiful scenery and about 5 miles roundtrip.

This is a beautiful hike and not difficult. Signs are posted in areas where the trail splits off in different directions. Some people hike in groups with llamas, but it is fine to hike alone or with a friend. When the camping area is open, you can drive to the end of the road and park to hike, otherwise you will have to walk from the parking area by the entrance when the gate to the camping area is closed.

Peaceful moderate hike. Trailhead is about 7-8 miles from Red River toward the village of Questa, NM.

A peaceful walk along a stream through the forest and across meadows. What a wonderful break from the desert! We saw llamas on the trail, but very few people.

We had more fun here than anything else we did in the area. The llamas are trained, sweet and very easy to handle and they carry all your gear. We hiked up the mountain, ate a nice lunch while the llamas waited, and hiked back down. Stuart, the tour guide was full of knowledge about plant identification, about the llamas, and the whole area, and was happy to answer all our questions. We even went into an old gold mine! It's an amazing trip and well worth the money. Give Stuart a tip because you won't get a better tour guide anywhere.

基本上登楼后所见的景色，与下方狮子山如出一辙，只是视野所及范围更广。可惜的是若想以相片记录下来，需要好一点的设备；若设备不足，在底下的狮子山照照即可。

站在雄伟的万古楼上面，你可以鸟瞰整个丽江古城，是那么的宁静，那么的美丽，此时的你只有一个想法，那就是好好欣赏丽江古城的美景，东西南北都看个够。不错的地方，只是爬台阶会有点喘，但是到了那里感觉非常值哦。推荐大家有空一定要去看看。

万古楼是丽江的标志性景点，位于狮子山上，是俯瞰丽江古城美景的好地方，来这里主要就是看丽江景色，楼本身感觉很一般吧，没什么特色，而且门票很贵，门票加上古城费要140元，性价比不太高，不是很推荐来这里。

感觉门票太贵了，50个大洋。是个5层的飞檐翘角楼，楼体很多雕饰，有吉祥图案，还有很多彩绘龙。楼上的视觉特别广阔，能纵观丽江城，去的那天天气很好，还看见了隐隐约约的玉龙雪山。
