This park is in the northeast of Zhangye and can easily be reached with a taxi for 4 RMB (or by walking in about 45 min from the centre of town). In the past it appears that it was a large, natural wetland. About one year ago it was "upgraded" to a large lake within a park planted with trees. A nice place to go jogging or have a relaxed walk away from the busy city and all the historic sites.

说到藏经洞就要提到王道士, 经过现在仅存的文件只有几百件与原始的五万多卷相差颇大, 现在陈列馆中的文字或画都是客观复制品, 其余的文件仍然收藏在其他国家(英美法), 以后会特别想到其他国家的展场参观那些文件.

一个历史的宝藏，尘封多年后面世。自敦煌莫高窟被发现后洞内收藏的珍贵罕见世间绝无仅有的各种文物后便遭到了无数盗墓者的光顾，甚至是近代的侵华国家，在这处陈列馆内便记载了这一切，好像诉说这里发生的一切，看完之后，心有余悸。

The is is a small but interesting museum in the grounds of Mogao Grottoes, in the the rather-more-recent monastery built by Abbott Wang Yuanlu from the proceeds of his sale of manuscripts he discovered in the Library Cave (#17) of the Mogao grottoes. The history of this sale to European and American adventurers in the very early years of the 20th Century documents a loss to Chinese culture as profound as the Elgin marbles to Greece and is compelling background reading for a vist to Mogao Caves.Excellent facsimiles of the ancient Buddhist sutras and other texts are on display, along with copies of paintings on silk and fragments of other work. It's another place where you see the fine work that has been done for years by the Dunhuang Academy. After a guided walk, where you will see cave #16 and the #17 library cave with it's statue of the seated monk Hongbian, this museum is a nice place for further context and reflection.Another place where you hope the cultural material lost to a nation will be restored to them again.

路过红园，进去瞄了一眼牡丹，颜色缤纷，但都即将衰败。和人一样，花期太短，没香艳几天就谢了。

早上去红园买书，一本扬州学者的专著，定价56圆，最终我8圆买走。回来翻看，首页有作者的签名：某某兄指正。07年国庆。全书很新，可见“某某”未曾看过，就处理了。我之幸乎，书之不幸？
